Boy & Erik Stappaerts

° 1969

Born in Antwerp (Belgium), lives in Antwerp (Belgium).

Boy & Erik Stappaerts studied at the St. Lucas Institute in Brussels and continued his education at the State Academy in Amsterdam. His work, which is located on the border between sculpture and design, offers an answer to our already 'gray' world. Glossy lacquered objects in bright color palettes show the way.

From where this double name? One person, two roles; Boy is responsible for the artistic concept, Erik provides the productional aspect.

Boy & Erik Stappaerts won the 2005 Prize for Visual Arts of the province of Antwerp.
