M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

° 1949

Lives in West Flanders (BE), born in Cambridge (GB), lives in London (GB).

With social projects and with work in different media including video, photography, sound, drawings, performance and installation, Craigie Horsfield rethinks prevailing attitudes regarding society and the individual. Horsfield uses the notion of 'slow time' to denote his vision of history as something not out of the past (i.e. standing apart from our experiences), but rather as the deepening of the present. For Horsfield the word 'relationship' in the first place means that 'being' is created between individuals, and secondly that 'being' lies contained in each meeting, each encounter, each conversation.
