Lives in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
Guga Ferraz is a member of a generation whose interests in street life and street culture has been shaped by the nineties boom of “street” arts such as graffiti and affichage.
Ferraz’ work has the spirit of the urban interventions, often commenting on the latent violence of Brazilian street lif such as the black-and-white Galdino posters and traffic signs to which flame-like red stickers have been glued, turning a banal carioca bus into a witness to civil war.
