° 1987
The Kerala Radicals [which at different times included artists Anita Dube, C.K. Rajan, K.R. Karunakaran, Alex Mathew, Reghunadhan K., Jyothi Basu, K.P. Krishnakumar] took shape as a coherent group in Baroda at the Fine Arts Department of the M.S. University during the second half of 1980 where they protested against the conservatism of the art world, evoking a left tradition. They participated as a group in artist camps and exhibitions including Questions and Dialogues in Baroda in 1987 and at the Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva later that year. They produced a manifesto which was written by Anita Dube.
