M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Exhibition: Borderline

Discover the opera and ballet season in 12 original paintings and four drawings on the 20th floor of the A-tower.

Inspired by opera and Ballet Vlaanderen productions, artist Koen van den Broek supplied 12 canvases: new work, complemented by a selection of existing work. He is an atypical Belgian artist who takes his inspiration from an international context. As such, his works find their way to galleries, museums and collectors worldwide. Especially for this exhibition, a large number of original works were brought together from private collections. A revelation for those who are not (yet) familiar with the work of van den Broek and a surprise for those who are: for the first time, human forms reluctantly cast their shadow on the images in the artist’s often architectural abstract works.
