A work with a clear reference to the love of Koen van den Broek for film semiotics. The black lines above and below refer to the framing, the image that is defined by two black lines, as is customary in film and television. Furthermore, it is a strong work that sends a clear message. An undeniable dichotomy draws our attention from the light to the darkness. It contrasts with the other Borderline image (Switch) which is much fresher in colour: Van den Broek describes this work as much more photographic. Red is not red, the elements refuse to be pigeonholed.
