"I wasn’t even thinking about using stone, but I was thinking about what a triptych was, that it is like a sandwich. It has these two side things that you usually close and it’s the centre part that’s the roast beef. (...) What’s inside is an old Belgian mail sack that everyone in Belgium would recognize. That’s my favorite because it’s smaller and—I don’t remember—but there could still be a couple of letters inside. They would be the roast beef of the roast beef." [full text here]
