M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Collection: Collection M HKA, Antwerp (Inv. no. S0310).

Memorial Cola, a multiple from 2001, is a found object that shows that a twist of fate can render innocent reality painfully absurd. The work consists of two bottles of fizzy drink, coke and diet coke, with the label showing a view of the New York skyline with the Twin Towers. Körmeling positions the bottles alongside one another like twin towers, as a sort of remembrance of 9/11/ (This type of bottle is no longer on sale.)
