Installation

Collection: Collection M HKA, Antwerp (Inv. no. M00077_01).
The installation Eurotel (2009) creates a basic accommodation unit for a football fan out of two discarded 'people's cars' from the Soviet past. Made in Ukraine from 1958 onwards and model-led after Fiat 600, ZAZ Zaporozhets carries nostalgic associations for the post-Soviet audience and looks exotically low-tech to westerners. The name Zaporozhets translates into a Cossack of the Zaporizhian Sich or а man from Zaporizhzhia.
