M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

In Gouden strop en stoel [Golden Noose and Chair] Copers juxtaposes the horror of suicide or death, possibly by suicide, with baroque shapes and colours that enhance the contrast between the material riches of life and our mortality. Yet Copers’s assemblages do not inspire feelings of aggression or disgust. He always allows an element of humour and irony to balance the existential drama.
