M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Vliegende messen [Flying Knives], 1974

Installation, Variable dimensions.

Collection: Collection M HKA, Antwerp (Inv. no. S0100).

The installation with the flying knives (1974) is an example of the perpetuum mobile, with two ominously rotating kitchen knives performing a fatal circular dance. This can be interpreted as art claiming its own territory. We enter at our own risk.
